Our
Purpose
What we are here to help with..........
"This is a heartfelt apology. To everyone I ever let down returning to work after a baby. I let you down. Our workplace let you down. Our policies let you down. Im sorry, I had no idea what you were going through. I know now, you weren't sleeping, you had huge anxiety, you were overwhelmed, you didn't know what was coming. I genuinely thought a phased return to work and the odd catch up was enough. I cannot say sorry enough for not supporting you more" LinkedIn people Manager comment. June 2024
Who we are.......
My wife and I have 3 young children. We also sadly lost some babies during pregnancy.
In over 20 years of building teams in workplaces around the world, sitting on senior leadership teams, supporting Diversity and Inclusion policies and initiatives and coaching too many people managers to mention, I have seen first-hand the impact on confidence, self esteem and self worth that having a baby can bring to new parents.
In that business leader role, I have devastatingly seen so many women, (and men) sadly have their careers curtailed due to:
- not knowing how to have the right career conversations with their employers
- not knowing how to be transparent about the challenges they are facing
- not knowing how to re-design their job roles or careers and balance their priorities
- not knowing how to juggle a whole world of new challenges and demands
- not knowing how to incorporate new and old friendship groups
- not knowing how to retain and build relationships with loved ones
And as a husband, I have seen the challenges that my wife and I experienced first hand.
This just does not need to happen. But people do not currently have a service that provides them with the tools to excel easily after one of life's biggest events.
What will we do?
Mumentum will offer (via a monthly subscription based service) support to parents that are about to have their first baby (or subsequent children), who are either concerned about the unknown, or have had their babies and are now concerned about how to face the reality.

The priority will be on your career. How do you maintain and build a career after children? How do you have an inclusive and genuinely proactive relationship with your employer / employee?

But there are so many facets to having children, so our service will also support you with;
- Financial advice
- Career support and guidance
- Real life stories and learnings
- Legal support and entitlements
- Bereavement guidance
- Support groups
- Wellbeing, confidence and mental health awareness
- Understanding your partners viewpoint
- A service for both men and women as to how to look after yourself during the process.
(The subscription service can be started or ended at any time by the subscriber)
